The Jam

The Jam are one of the most successful rock bands to ever come from the UK their role of tv recognition began in 1977 up until the time band leader and chief song writer decided to call the band to an end it seemed they would go on forever.

The Jam started off with song called in the City this was a good example of raw energy produced by Paul Weller, Rick Buckler, and Bruce Foxton and it shows good 3 piece band work. If you were lucky enough to be at a Jam concert you would know exactly the energy I’m speaking about, as soon as they start the very first song the feeling you have is that you do not want to sit down.

The Song which made me start really liking the Jam was the song called the butterfly collector, this is a nicely arranged song and I’m not just speaking about P. Weller’s vocals but also Rick Buckler’s drum fills and Bruce Foxton’s bass lines and complementary vocals, every last part of the song is well put together. Funny thing this song was a b side, the Jam’s b sides were just as good as the a side.

[edit] US EPs

(Note: EPs are ranked on the Billboard album chart, not the singles chart.)

There were many compellation albums other than extras few offered anything new. Foxton played bass on all the songs except a few on the album called extras.

A simple soure to progress with the guitar is Guitar Lesson and another source is Learn Guitar.
